About Us

Air Central West was founded by Phillip Owens at Longreach in 1995.  The business commenced operations with a Beechcraft Bonanza.

Since then the customer base has expanded to include:

Government and Corporate Departments, Mining Contractors, Stock and Station Agents, Tourism and General Public Tours and Transport.

The increased demand for reliable air transport brought about the decision to purchase a Beechcraft Baron Twin Engine aircraft in 2002. This enabled Air Central West to broaden its services and operate under virtually all conditions during the day and night across Australia.

Phillip has lived and worked in western Queensland all his life and has over 30 years flying experience.
